Eric Opperman is in his second year as Sports Information Director at CBU. He is the primary contact for all of CBU's 13 intercollegiate sports.

Opperman came to CBU in August 2006 after a one-year stint as Assistant Sports Information Director at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. He also worked in Ouachita's sports information department for three and a half years as a student assistant. He served as the primary contact for men's and women's soccer and women's basketball, as well as a secondary contact for Ouachita's other eleven sports.

While at Ouachita, Opperman worked on radio and internet broadcasts of Ouachita's football, basketball, and baseball teams as well as covering high school sports for local radio stations and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

The Bartlett native has worked in a supporting role for sports of all levels in the Memphis area. He is a member of the University of Memphis basketball stat crew and has worked as an usher for the Memphis Redbirds since 2002. He has also been an official scorer for the Pacific Coast League for Memphis Redbirds games since 2004.

Opperman worked the 2005 Nike Hoop Summit in Memphis, the 2005-2007 Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournaments in Memphis, the 2005 and 2006 NCAA Division II Women's Elite Eight in Hot Springs, Ark., and was a Sports Information Intern for the 2004 and 2005 Spring Fling high school state championships in Memphis.

He graduated from Ouachita in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.
